Please pardon my mistake in the update I just sent many hours ago.  I said that our rent was due "next week (Feb. 15th)."  I meant "next week (Nov. 15th)"!!!!!!! 
 
I guess my mind was experiencing time travel!  (Feb. 15th is our rental contract renewal date.)
