Dear Friends in Y'shua,
Grace and peace be unto
you!
As believers in Y'shua, we can walk
in His grace and in His shalom, even in times of
war like we are in right now here in
Israel! More about that in a moment, but
first some exciting news . . .
Paul
Keith Davis - Special Guest
Speaker
We are happy to announce
that Paul Keith Davis, one of today's
gifted prophetic leaders, has agreed to take time
out of his very busy schedule to minister for two of the
sessions of the 2006 International
Campmeeting of
New Hope Revival Ministries in Smiths
Station, Alabama (not far from Columbus,
GA).
The Campmeeting is
July 16th - 30th. Paul Keith
Davis will be speaking Thursday, July 20th, at 7
PM and Friday, July 21st, at 11
AM.
For more
details about the Campmeeting and Paul Keith
Davis, see Pastor Shelley's latest
e-newsletter on his homepage, www.revival.org.
I know you would be very blessed if you were able to
attend in person or by live streaming!
A
Fresh Revelation of God's
Sovereignty
I have just posted two more of Pastor
Shelley's recent messages on his website. The first
one is "A Fresh Revelation of God's
Sovereignty" (2006-06-17). Here are
some quotes from this sermon:
And
our destiny, God’s will and purposes in
our life, are like a pre-existing condition - one that
we have had before the foundation of the world.
We came here with it. See, God
knew that.
He fixed your eternal destiny
according to the purpose that He had for
you.
He saw your life. He saw your
choices before they happened. He saw who
you were and why you were here. He knew all of
that. And He gave you a prefixed
destiny. And you chose Him because He
helped you.
Unless it
was given to you by God, you could have never chosen
Him.
So I can make the wrong choice. He
doesn’t force me to choose the right
thing. But He sure makes it easy if I
surrender, if I take things out of my hands.
I’ll show you in a
minute where you don’t make up your mind about
repentance. God decided who would
repent. It’s in the
Scripture.
He didn’t have to accept
your repentance.
His love causes you
to love Him. His choosing you influences
you to choose Him. When He touches you,
it makes you want to run in the way of His
Commandments.
"My
Burden Is Light"
I just posted a
substantial excerpt from this wonderful timely
message, "My Burden Is
Light," that Pastor Shelley preached this
week on 2006-07-14. You can read it at http://www.revival.org/sermon.jsp?id=876.
One of the sisters in the
congregation testified that she felt a great
burden for the young people of the church and
this generation because of all the evil temptations that
are in the world to try and snare them. She sensed
that Pastor Shelley and some of the ministering brothers
should lay hands on all of them and pray for them.
Pastor Shelley felt a witness with
her request, but first preached an impromptu message
about the Biblical way to handle burdens
that come from the Lord.
Then he called
the children up and spoke to them very straight about
the consequences of sowing and
reaping. At the end, he spoke
great blessings over their lives that you might
want to speak over your own children or loved
ones.
Here are some quotes:
But the burden
doesn’t come to make us heavy. That is our
fleshly, carnal reaction to the burden of the
Lord.
When God presses
something on us like that . . . We need to
immediately commit it back to the Lord and say,
"Lord, all I can do is commit it to
you."
This is what God
wants us to do. He places that burden on you to
see if your reaction will be the right
one.
God doesn’t give us the
spirit of heaviness. Heaviness is sometimes the
reaction of our spirit to the burden of the
Lord.
The
Burden of Israel
I was so blessed by Pastor Shelley's
message about how to handle the Lord's burdens,
especially because of the current war
environment in Israel. But this message
and the other messages that he has been preaching about
the sovereignty of God have given me
great peace.
I know that God is in charge and does
all things well! I can take the
burden, which is easy to feel if you live
in this Land, and present it right back to the
Lord and say, "Be
it unto Israel according to Thy Word! Thy
sovereign will be done!" I rest
secure in my prefixed destiny from the Lord and
Israel's!
Please
join us in praying for Israel and committing her
way unto the Lord.
In
Closing
I am not going to the Campmeeting in
Alabama this summer because we need every offering to go
toward our quarterly apartment rent
which is due in one month on August
15th. I am already missing not being
there, but our ability to be able to continue to live in
Jerusalem is very important to our mandate from the
Lord. I will stream the services from here and try
to update you as best I can.
Since the time of making this
critical large payment is quickly drawing near, I need
to ask you once again to consider sending us a
donation. On one hand, I certainly
do not enjoy asking you so often for your help. On
the other hand, I know how
much the Lord blesses those that give to His purposes in
Jerusalem!
Thank you in advance!
God uses your prayers and your support in a mighty
way!
(Mat
11:28) Come
unto
me, all ye
that labor
and
are heavy laden, and
I will give
you rest.
(Mat
11:29) Take
my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
(Mat
11:30) For my
yoke
is easy, and my burden is light.
Blessings from
Jerusalem! Nancy Bergen
