Dear
Friends in Messiah,
Happy Shavuot from
Jerusalem!
The
traditional Jewish celebration of
Shavuot, or the Feast of
Weeks, or Pentecost, begins
tonight and continues through tomorrow. For a
comprehensive understanding of this feast from a
Messianic Jewish point of view, see Eddie Chumney's
explanation at: http://www.hebroots.org/chap6.html#CHAP6.
Here in
Jerusalem, today is like a Friday, with
everyone rushing around preparing for the double
Shabbat. Cheesecake and dairy products are the
popular items being purchased to celebrate coming in to
a "land of milk and honey" and the receiving of the
sweet Word of God.

The Throne Emphasis -
Part 2 (May 13, 2006,
Saturday PM)
When
Pastor Shelley had his two night vision experiences, it
was impressed on him that the Lord was putting
an emphasis on His Throne. In this
sermon, he expounds on this. Here are
two quotes from this message:
But I
believe that God has an appointment with each
and every one of us in heavenly
places. We may not physically leave
this building tonight, but how many of you know just
sitting in the Presence of the Lord, we can soar into
heavenly places in Christ Jesus. It's not a
physical relocation. It's a spiritual
relocation.
But
it's in that moment, if we allow ourselves to be pulled
up a little bit higher than this sphere where we're
living right now, if we would allow the Holy Spirit to
transport us from this dimension into a higher
realm, just stand for just a few moments before
the Throne of God . . .
It's not about what you
see and it's not about what you hear, but it's
about what you allow Him to impart into your
life.
One divine
impartation from the Throne changes a lot of
things. It doesn't just change
perspective, it can change ambition. It can
raise your level of determination. It can
give you more strength. It can do so
much.
Full Knowledge, From
the Throne (May 14, 2006, Sunday
AM)
It was
made clear to Pastor Shelley that it is before
the Throne that the full knowledge of the Lord's will is
revealed. Paul understood the
importance of this and prayed:
(Col.
1:9) For this cause we also, since the day we
heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire
that ye might be filled with the full
knowledge of His will in all wisdom and
spiritual understanding.
In this
sermon, Pastor Shelley said:
I
believe that God wants to open His heart to
us. I believe God wants to reveal His heart
to us. I don't want to just know what would
be acceptable to God. But
I want to know what would please Him more than
anything.
How many of you want to please
Him? I want to know His heart. I
don't want God to look down and say, "That's acceptable
behavior in My sight."
I want Him to look down
and say, "That's exactly what I would have you to
do. What you've done is exactly what I would
have had you to do."
That's full
knowledge. That's being filled with the
knowledge of His will.
There's an awesome
unveiling of the meaning of everything that flows from
the Throne of God. The purpose of
your life, why you're here, what our calling is, what
our reaction should be to the knowledge that's been
revealed to us - it flows from His
Throne. That's where we're
headed.
Those four Living
Creatures are preparing the
way. They're getting things warmed
up. They know you're coming - spiritually,
spiritually. They know you're
coming. They're preparing. They're
getting ready. They know what God is
about to do through His
people.
Set Down In Messiah's
Throne (May 16, 2006, Tuesday
PM)
This is an awesome sermon, full
of revelation from Pastor Shelley's experience before
the Throne and inspiration that came while he was
preaching it. This was his
text:
(Heb.
8:1) Now of the things which we have spoken,
this is the sum: We have
such an high priest, who is set
on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty
in the heavens;
(Heb.
8:2) A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true
tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not
man.
You really need to read the whole
sermon, but I have chosen these quotes to
whet your appetite:
So the
key is we're not sitting with Christ in His Throne if
we're still struggling. So we're getting
there. We've got to keep working on
yielding - not working on working, working on
yielding.
And the sum of everything we're going
through - every trial, every heartache, every
ache, every pain, every emotional breakdown, every
financial difficulty - everything, all of it, every bit
of it, every bit of it . . . the sum of
everything is, "We have a High Priest
who was tempted in all manner as we are, yet He did not
sin."
And now the very Spirit
of an overcomer that was in Him is in us by the Holy
Ghost. If He overcame . .
. He said, "Little children, I have overcome
the world. And if I have overcome the world,
you can overcome the world.
How can you
and I overcome? Because of
Him. And the Apostle thought this
was so important that he said, "This is the
sum of all that has been spoken thus
far."
The
relationship that the believer and the Messiah will come
to is identical to the relationship that the Messiah has
with His Father. And that relationship is
this. They are of the same
essence. But the Son is merely an
expression of that essence. And you
and I are becoming expressions of that
essence.
I have a revelation of the finished
work of the Messiah. And I didn't
receive it in a book. And I didn't receive it
in a tape. I received it before the
Throne. And whatever God truly
reveals from His Throne
works.
I was reminded before
the Throne . . . (this has not been spoken) . . . that
redemption's work is
over. It is finished. It
is completed. You will never be any more
redeemed. The only step of redemption that is
ahead for you and I is the redemption of this [our
bodies].
The
sum of the New Testament basically, Paul said, is we
have a High Priest who is sitting in a position to do
something about what we're going
through. That's the
revelation. He's not just a High Priest, but
He's in a position He can do something about
being a High Priest.
That's the sum of it all - to come into
Christ. That's why we
have to spend time in the Throne - because we're coming
into Christ.
The four Living
Creatures are not just a symbol of Matthew,
Mark, Luke and John. They're not just a
symbol of four anointings that were divided over the
ages. They're more than
that. They're the guardians of the
Throne.
Christ is seated with His Father
in His Throne. You, as an overcomer, have
been invited to sit with Christ in His Throne as He is
set down with His Father in His Throne.
In order
to get to that place in Christ, you have to get where
Christ is. In the Spirit, Christ is with us
here tonight. Positionally, governmentally,
He's in the Throne. So if we're going
to get into Christ, we're going to have to come to the
Throne.
And if we're going to do that,
we're going to need some help. We're going to
need an overcoming anointing because "only overcomers,"
he said, "make it that
far." Wow.
I told you
Sunday (was a week ago) their ministry is not
over. The ministry of the four Living
Creatures is not over. It's not
finished. They're still guarding the
Throne. Only overcomers will get that
close.
And the very Spirit that they
represent is what has caused the Bride to overcome down
through the ages.
Lord,
give us grace to digest this simple Word, "Come into
Christ. Come into Christ. Come
into Christ." That's the Message - "Come into
Christ."
If it
was work, we can't do it. We can't make
it. We couldn't work hard
enough. We couldn't fight hard
enough.
It's
faith. We believe
You. We take You at your Word, and we watch
You manifest Your Word in us.
The Message: Come Into
Christ
Here is
some background to help you understand a reference that
Pastor Shelley makes to "The Message" in the sermon I
just quoted from.
On June
11, 1933, the young pastor, William Branham, was
beginning to baptize over 200 people in the Ohio River.
As he was about to baptize the 17th person, three
times he heard a Voice say, "Look up." When he
finally looked up into the sky, he gasped!
Dropping out of the heavens came a
fireball! From a distance it resembled a
star, oscillating between yellowish-green and amber.
As it fell closer, it looked like a milling
circle of fire - roaring, spinning, throwing off sparks
and flames. Bill held his breath in terror as
the star came right at him; but it stopped short and
hung directly overhead. The waters around
Bill churned, sending up a fine mist that refracted a
little rainbow over the star.
Suddenly Bill heard a Voice speaking to
him. It was not the melodious bass Voice that so
often spoke to him in visions; this Voice was tenor,
familiar. It said, "As
John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of
Jesus Christ, so are you sent with a Message to
forerun His second coming."
(From the excellent book "SUPERNATURAL:
The Life of William Branham, Book Two: The Young Man and
His Desperation (1933-1946)" by Owen
Jorgensen)
When
people ask Pastor Shelley what "The
Message" is, he usually replies that it is
the full revelation of Jesus
Christ. But in this sermon,
he summarizes a quote from one of Bro. Branham's
sermons, "The Token" (1963), to further
define what "The Message" is.
This is what Bro. Branham said:
Don't
just come this far, say, "I believe the message."
You obey the
message. Come into Christ.
You say, "Oh, I believe every word you said,
Brother Branham."
That's good. But that's
just--that is just being able to read. Take the Message;
take it into your heart, that you must have the Token, the very Life
that was in Christ, be in
you.
Campmeeting in Alabama
The annual
International Campmeeting of the New Hope
Revival Ministries in Alabama will be held
July 16 - 30. Pastor Shelley will
be ministering at most of the meetings, in addition
to other church ministers and special
guests.
We
expect the Lord to reveal Himself in wonderful ways
through His Word and by His Spirit! You
are most welcome to come in person or watch the live
streaming of the service by computer.
In Closing
Thanks to
your donations, prayers and a wonderful surprise
miracle donation of $2000 from a previously unknown
source, we were able to pay our overdue quarterly rent
payment! We are really praising God for
His faithfulness and your sensitivity to
Him!
Please don't forget
about us here in Jerusalem because
we must continue to meet our smaller daily expenses and
save for the next monthly tax payments and next
quarterly rent payment. We live a very
simple, frugal lifestyle in order to be good stewards of
the precious offerings that you sacrifice for
us.
Thank you
so much! May the Lord give you a wonderful harvest
from your seed sown in His Land!
(Eph
2:6) And hath raised us up together, and
made us sit together in heavenly
places in Christ
Jesus:
(Eph
2:7) That in the ages to come he might show the
exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us
through Christ Jesus.
Blessings
from Jerusalem! Nancy Bergen
