“Let Your Glory Return to Jerusalem!”

On July 10, 2002, a small group of us went to Kiriath-Jearim where the Ark of the Covenant was located for 20 years until David moved it to Jerusalem (I Chronicles 13:5-8). The town is located 13 km west of Jerusalem and is now called Abu Gosh. We went in the early evening to worship, pray and prophesy from the probable site of Abinadab’s house where the Ark was kept (I Samuel 7:1). Standing on the site is the Notre Dame de l’Arche (Our Lady of the Ark of the Covenant) church belonging to the French Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition and a larger Byzantine church was on the site before this church.

From the little outdoor chapel behind the church, we looked out at Jerusalem on the hills in the distance and prayed for God’s glory to return to her. In our prayer meeting earlier that afternoon, we had just sung spontaneously “Let Your Glory Return to Jerusalem!” which you are now listening to.
